Emari Hunn is a Senior Vice President and Branch Manager at First Foundation Bank, a financial literacy advocate, and a five-time Presidential Volunteer Service Award honoree. Drawing from her own journey of resilience, she champions trauma-informed support, mentorship, and education that empowers women and youth. Emari teaches financial confidence, coaches entrepreneurs, and leads community service initiatives that help women rebuild their futures. Her mission is to lead with compassion, create opportunity, and turn adversity into lasting impact.

 Joy Kimura is the Government Affairs and Compliance Director for Hawaii LECET, one of the trust funds for the Hawaii Laborers’ Union, Local 368. She is the current Vice President and Past President for Soroptimist International of Honolulu, and has a deep commitment to helping empower women and girls achieve personal success through access to education and training.

I am a retired attorney who initially worked as a deputy attorney general for the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations for three years primarily defending the Special Compensation Fund in workers' compensation cases.  Subsequently, I entered private practice in 1980 as an associate representing employers in workers' compensation cases and other civil cases including unemployment, temporary disability insurance, and medical malpractice defense claims.  I became a named partner in 1984 at Char Hamilton Campbell & Thom through May 2006 and ended my career at Char Hamilton Campbell & Yoshida In June 2011.  During my law career, I was an active member of the Hawaii State and American Bar Associations, Hawaii Women Lawyers. and an Arbitrator with the Court Annexed Arbitration Program.

Volunteer work outside law included being a Team Captain for America's Walk for Diabetes and tutoring adults how to read for Hawaii Literacy.  My volunteer activities now are centered on Soroptimist activities to benefit women and girls in our community.

I am a retired attorney who practiced as a State Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Accounting and General Services, associate with Dudley G. Akama, partner at Char Hamilton Campbell & Thom/Char Hamilton Campbell & Yoshida and staff counsel at First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd. I served on the State Board of Naturopathy, the board of the Hawaii Lupus Foundation, and the board and past president of Hawaii Women Lawyers. 

With 24 years in banking, I developed a strong foundation in relationship-building and service—skills that now guide my work with Soroptimist International of Honolulu. I’m passionate about community connection and creating programs that uplift women and girls. I’m also a full-time Realtor in Hawai‘i and a notary since 2009. Outside of service, I love performing as a vocalist with my band, Playlist, sharing music, energy, and aloha.
